Lilies and Blue Vases in Gouache – Art Print
Celebrate the beauty of cherished memories and everyday treasures with “Lilies and Blue Vases in Gouache,” a fine art print by Marie Stephens.

This piece is inspired by Marie’s personal collection of tiny blue vases—each one gathered over a lifetime from friends, travels, and serendipitous finds.

The vibrant lilies, lovingly painted in gouache, are more than just flowers; they are a living memory from the flower farm in southwest Iowa where Marie and her family once grew and shared fresh blooms with their community. Every petal and vase in this artwork tells a story of family, friendship, and the simple joys of gathering beauty from the world around us.

The expressive gouache technique brings a luminous quality to the yellow lilies and the rich cobalt blues of the vases, creating a composition that is both modern and nostalgic. The loose, confident brushwork and subtle textures invite you to linger and discover new details with every glance.
Perfect for anyone who loves botanical art, meaningful stories, or a pop of color in their home, this print is a celebration of life’s small wonders and the memories we carry with us.

The flowers, also part of another personal collection of lilies brought to our current home, are from the flower farm in southwest Iowa where we once grew and sold fresh cut flowers to the community, at farmers markets, to florists, and for weddings, funerals, and special occasions. So many happy memories!"-Marie Stephens
