Are there Mistakes When Creating Art? I Think Not.

As a recovering perfectionist, I LOVE THIS QUOTE! As an artist entrepreneur, embracing this idea is vital to survival! I used to think of mistakes as failure and reasons to never try again, but studying art and the impressionists like Monet and many others from that era have made me realize the beauty and unique ideas that result from trying and trying again....and again....and again! Initially, they would paint from life, but sometimes, they would paint the same scene multiple times until they were satisfied with a less realistic impression of the original scene. They took time to make it their own. I’m hoping to do the same with the French Bulldog sketch I made on the plane yesterday when flying home from Utah.
