I cannot tell you what he meant, because only he knew, but I can tell you what it means to me....
🎨The act of making art, mixing paint, applying brush to canvas, pen to paper...it's mind clearing, soul nourishing, stress relieving, rejuvenating.
🖼️The act of viewing art.....in galleries, public spaces, private spaces, my home and my friends' homes, social media.....fills my soul with color....and that sustains me until the next time I get to make more art!
👩🎨 Witnessing others enjoy art....especially my own art , or when I inspire someone else to play with art supplies.... fills my heart with joy!
🥰 That's a big reason I enjoy plein air painting in my travel sketchbook on vacation.
Quick watercolor painting and ball point pen sketching in a travel journal is wonderful way to absorb my surroundings when I am on vacation. An art journal is my own special way to record what I want to remember most, in a way that is meaningful to me.
