Dear Paul, I couldn't agree more. Grab some paper, a napkin, a scrap of fabric, anything, and just go for it. Express yourself without worry about the final result, and without self critique.
It's about the journey, not the ending. For me the joy of art making and painting is more about watching the colors interact, and the release of energy onto the surface as my hand dances with the utensil of choice.
Utensils vary from, brushes, to palette knives, to my fingers, to a rag, combs, leaves, flowers, drywall tools, spray paint, wrappers, packaging, tp rolls, bubble wrap, basketballs, anything with a unique texture that could allow me to witness a new reaction to the paint applied to the surface!Don't forget to follow and share my page if you like daily doses of artsy inspiration!
